What about you, do you also live your job as an adventure?
Wenqing is R&I technical leader in Valeo Foshan, one of Valeo's largest sites in the world dedicated to lighting, for which the Group is the world leader.
And she’s straightforward: “My job means adventure for me. We explore unknown areas and technological fields everyday, working on new designs, new materials, new processes. It’s full of challenges and uncertainties. And when we finally find and develop something new, you realize just how worthwhile it is, and it’s a great feeling of satisfaction.”
“What I love most is the freedom I have in my job. We are free to think and do what we want to develop. Most of the technologies we develop simply didn’t exist before. It is so innovative! And it’s so gratifying to see the technologies we develop showcased at the world’s biggest trade shows or simply hit the roads.”
Wenqing joined Valeo 5 years ago “after hearing great things about it from my friends and knowing that it was a leading player in the automotive lighting sector. There’s a great atmosphere here, with very good team work. And for me, as a female engineer, Valeo has a very good culture of diversity, encouraging women’s career development.”
