The 3-in-1 eAxle (electric Axle) is the combination of an electric motor, inverter and reducer in shared packaging. It is the heart of the powertrain. The eMotor, the inverter and the reducer are highly integrated together with shared housing design: this is a compact solution for electric vehicle and electrically-driven secondary axle in hybrid vehicles. Compare with standalone solution, 3-in-1 electric axle saves space and cost.
It keeps a stable performance at speeds up to 140 km/h. It has an integrated style cap (on nozzle) or retractable trapdoor. Optional Defrosting is available from start-up at -20°C in 3 minutes 40 seconds. LiDAR cleaning system is also engineered for pedestrian protection.

Valeo’s latest generations of 12V alternators are developed with high-quality components improving reliability, comfort and efficiency for a longer life span. The 12V EG* efficiency alternator features synchronous rectifying based on MOSFET and is able to almost eliminate the voltage drop during the electric current rectifying.

The Valeo 48V eDrive (electric drive) or powertrain is a system embedding a high-efficiency electric motor with its associated inverter and a reducer.
It improves the fuel consumption (up to 15% CO2 benefits on WLTP), the driver comfort by providing full electric mode, efficient regenerative braking and four-wheel drive capability in 48V.
The reducer, also named gear reducer or speed reducer, is a solution to adjust the number of revolutions of the electric motor and convey those revolutions to the vehicle’s wheels.
It ensures the same function as a transmission in a conventional vehicle.
