Why did you join Valeo?
Jaroslav Stašek – Valeo offered me an interesting job when I was a fresh graduate and had no experience. I never regretted my decision because Valeo gives his employees the option of further development.
Is it important for you to work in a growing international company?
J. S. – It is the main driving force for me when I work in a dynamic environment and can work with people from different parts of the world. At the beginning, I learned from more experienced people and today I am giving my experience to new employees as well as to emerging production plants within the framework of our mother plant & daughter plant concept.
Is it important for you to contribute to a better automotive world?
J. S. – What can be better than a small contribution in making the world better? I believe that innovations in the automotive industry can make people happier and more satisfied.
Could you describe your mission in Valeo?
J. S. – My mission is to start producing a new product. This is a great challenge for me as I have to create a working team of employees, ensure the construction of a new production hall and provide all the machines and their accessories. And this is just the beginning.
What are the main skills and knowledge required to perform this work?
J. S. – It is important to have a general outlook and to be a team player so that one can hold any position in Valeo.
How would you describe your daily job?
J. S. – My current position is different every day. One day I deal with budgets, I resolve subsidies the next day or have meetings on building permits for a new production hall.
What makes your work hard and why is your position significant?
J. S. – Adapting to new conditions during the bidding process is very challenging. I need to be able to respond quickly to changing customer requirements while maintaining profitability for Valeo.
What success are you the most proud of?
J. S. – I am proud to be part of Valeo, and I consider my career growth up to my current position to be my best achievement. I was very lucky with my superiors who have always taught me new things and helped me in my career.
