Working in Ebern
Ebern is a town in the Lower Franconian district of Hassberge in Bavaria. The well-preserved old town is still surrounded by large parts of its strong medieval town fortifications. A well-kept ring of grounds separates the historical ensemble from the extensive new housing estates of the town extension built after the Second World War. The wooded, hilly surroundings of the Haßberge district are increasingly regarded as a popular holiday and excursion area because of its hiking opportunities and numerous historical sights.
Social commitment & activities at the site
For many years, the family-friendly Ebern location has been one of the main sponsors of the holiday program of the Arbeiterwohlfahrt Ebern e.V. (Ebern Workers’ Welfare Association), which gives both the children of our employees and the children of working parents in the Ebern area the opportunity to have their children looked after by qualified staff during the holidays in the AWO’s so-called “Adventure Weeks”. These adventure weeks offer an attractive holiday program in which the children can expect age-appropriate and varied activities.
Fulfilling a wish for children in the district where parents are unable to do so – we also support the “Wish Tree” campaign year after year. Both our staff and interested parties can take one or more wish lists from our Christmas-decorated tree in our porter’s office, get the wishes and bring them back – gladly wrapped up for Christmas – so that they reach the children in time for Christmas and make the children’s eyes sparkle.
