Aftermarket: Valeo innovates for cars already on the road

Valeo innovates to equip the vehicles of tomorrow but also those already in circulation: at the 25th edition of the Automechanika fair which is held in Frankfurt from 11 to 15 September 2018, the Group presents its numerous innovations dedicated to the aftermarket.

In 2018, Valeo will add over 10,000 new products in its after-sales catalog for all types of vehicles. The stakes are high as the European car market is aging, averaging almost 10 years. At Automechanika, Valeo presents its most complete range of transmission systems resulting from the acquisition of FTE Automotive. The Group also introduces two new devices that enhance driver visibility, and therefore safety: AquaBlade™, an instant wiper technology that provides constant visibility reducing braking distances and MatrixBeam, anti-glaring road lights that no longer blinding oncoming drivers.

Valeo is also innovating with new services bringing digital technology into the workshop. Thanks to the 15 websites launched in 2018 and e-services such as Tech @ssist and Valeo Specialist Club, mechanics can, using their smartphone, find the correct part easily, get expert advice or detailed technical information.
Innovation, in all its shapes or forms, is what drives Valeo: the Group has invested nearly € 1.9 billion in research and development in 2017 alone.
